U subotu, 31.10.2015. Međugrupni odbor hrvatskih folklornih društava za NSW održao je osmi po redu Hrvatski folklorni dječji festival na zemljištu Hrvatskog kulturnog društva “Bosna”, St Marys. Članice ove udruge su folklorna društva ” Braća Radići ”, ” Domovina ”, ” Linđo ”, ” Mladi Frankopani ”, ” CFE Sydney ”, ” Vukovar ” i ” Zagreb – Wollongong ”. Njihov rad i trud u organizaciji ovog događaja je nešto čime možemo svi biti ponosni. Ovaj dan je bez sumnje postao jedan od velikih događaja lokalne hrvatske zajednice, a ova godina je samo pridonijela pozitivnom ugledu ove vrijedne skupine ljudi.
Posebni gosti na festivalu bili su slijedeće folklorne skupine:
- Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa ‘’Mladi Hrvati’’ – Clifton Hill, Melbourne
- Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa ‘’Zvonimir’’ – Springvale, Melbourne
- Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa ‘’Mladi Hrvati’’ – Sunshine, Melbourne
- Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa ‘’Lenek’’ – Adelaide
- Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa ‘’Velebit’’ – Gold Coast
- Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa ‘’Croatia’’ – Canberra
Njihova prisutnost na festivalu pridonijela je velikom uspjehu našeg festivala. Imati naše folklorne prijatelje iz cijele Australije s nama ovaj dan nešto je što veoma cijenimo i priznajemo.
Dan je počeo s prekrasnim izvedbama najmlađih članova svih hrvatskih folklornih skupina koje su počele plesovima Slavonije, Podravine, do Bosne i Prigorja te mnogim drugim regijama hrvatskog naroda – djeca su nas učinili prezadovoljnim sa svojim prikazom naše kulturne baštine. Oko 300 djece je sudjelovalo u dvosatnom programu.
Nakon što je program bio dovršen, djeca su uživala na raznovrsnim ‘’rides’’ koje su organizirane za njih. Uz vožnje, naše lokalne folklorne skupine su organizirale razne specijalitete od krofni, kolača, palaćinki, vafli, kukuruza i uz sve to sladoled i drugi slatkiši i to je stvarno bila posebna ”Fešta”. U 21 sati bio je i vatromet koji je dodatno oraspoložio lijepu atmosferu koja se već osjetila među prisutnima. Procjenjuje se da je bilo oko 2.000 osoba na ovom događaju.
Ovaj dan je bio namijenjen najmlađim članovima naših folklorni grupa. Sudeći prema atmosferi dok su čekali svoj red na vožnje, bez sumnje smo uspjeli. Veliko hvala također ide našim prijateljima u ”Bosna” klubu koji su tako rado dali potpunu slobodu nama i našoj djeci u njihovom klubu. Kad bih imenovali sve osobe koji su pomogli da se ovaj dan ostvari, ova bi izjava stvarno bila preduga. Da ostane jednostavno – velika hvala svakoj osobi koja je pridonijela da se ostvari ovaj dan kojeg će naše djecu pamtiti dugo godina.
Ipak, najveća hvala ide našoj djeci. Učinili su nas ponosnima. S radošću i ponosom plešu plesove i pjevaju pjesme naših predaka. U nadi i želji da ćemo se svi opet sastati na festivalu iduće godine!
Croatian Children’s Folkloric Festival in Sydney
On Saturday, 31.10.2015 The Association of Croatian Folkloric Groups in NSW hosted the 8th consecutive Croatian Children’s Folkloric Festival at the Croatian Cultural Association ‘Bosna’, St Marys. The member groups of the association are: ‘’Braća Radići’’, ‘’Domovina’’, ‘’Linđo’’, ‘’Mladi Frankopani’’, ‘’CFE Sydney’’, ‘’Vukovar’’ and ‘’Zagreb – Wollongong’’. Their work and effort in putting on this event has been something that we can all be proud of. This day has no doubt become one of the ‘’BIG’’ events of the local Croatian Community and this year just added to the positive reputation that this hardworking group of people have.
Special Guests for the day included the following folkloric groups:
- Croatian Folkloric Group ‘’Hrvatska Zora’’ from Sunshine, Melbourne
- Croatian Folkloric Group ‘’Zvonimir’’ from Springvale, Melbourne
- Croatian Folkloric Group ‘’Mladi Hrvati’’ from Clifton Hill, Melbourne
- Croatian Folkloric Group ‘’Lenek’’ from Adelaide
- Croatian Folkloric Group ‘”Velebit’’ from the Gold Coast and
- Croatian Folkloric Group ‘’Croatia’’ from Canberra
Their presence on the day made it all the more wonderful for all. To have our folkloric friends from right around Australia with us on this day is something we very much appreciate and acknowledge.
The day started with the wonderful performances of the youngest members of all the Croatian Folkloric Groups who were there. From Slavonija, to Podravina, to Bosna, to Prigorje and many other regions of the Croatian people – the children did us proud with their display of our cultural heritage. Overall, around 300 children performed on that stage during the course of the 2 hour program.
Once the program was completed, the children were off to enjoy themselves on the many rides that had been organised for them. Along with the rides, our local folkloric groups had organised various stalls selling everything from krofne, kolači, palaćinke, waffles, corn etc… Add to this the ice cream van and fairy floss and it really was a ‘’fešta’’. At 9pm the fireworks went off and simply matched the high spirit and atmosphere that was already there. It is estimated that there were some 2,000 people at the event.
The day was all about our folkloric ‘’kids’’ and judging by the atmosphere as they waited for their turn on the rides, it was a huge success. A big thanks also goes to our friends at ‘’Bosna’’ club who so willingly give us and our kids total freedom at their club on this day. To name all the people who helped make this day the ‘’event’’ that it was would require many pages, so to keep it simple – thanks to every person who played their part in giving our folkloric kids a day that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
The biggest thanks goes to our children. They did us proud. With absolute joy and pride, they continue to dance the dances and sing the songs of our forebears. We look forward to seeing everyone at next years festival!!!
