WASHINGTON, DC – The National Federation of Croatian Americans Cultural Foundation (NFCACF) is very pleased to announce the one-day, in-person course Overview of Croatian History on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM, the day after the Croatian Fraternal Union’s Tamburice kroz generacije weekend.
The course will be held in the Jure Petričević Theater in the Matica Hrvatska building, conveniently located adjacent to the beautiful Josipa Jurja Strossmayera Park, at Ulica Matice Hrvatske 2 in Zagreb.
As Croatia continues to support its democracy and build its economy, many Croatians in diaspora are showing more interest in finding ways to connect and support those efforts. This informative course is designed specifically for everyone who wishes to learn more about the people and events that finally led to Croatia’s cherished independence. It is open to all, including students studying abroad, tourists, business persons, diplomatic staffs, etc., and is appropriate for those aged 16 and older.
The course is free of charge and will include complimentary coffee service at 9:30 AM and boxed lunch at Noon. It will be presented in the English language by Dr. Tomislav Galović and several other professors from the University of Zagreb. Reservations are required by June 27, 2024, and seats are limited.
