Hrvatska gospodarska komora Zapadne Australije s ponosom je održala svoj Hrvatski festival vina 2022. u Mandoon Estateu u Zapadnoj Australiji. Ovaj događaj bio je proslava hrvatskih proizvođača vina unutar Zapadne Australije s više od četrdeset obitelji koje su pridonijele vinskoj industriji. Predstavljene su uz degustaciju vina izlagači kao što su Nikola Estate, Kosovich Wines, Mann Vineyards, Yagmich Estate, Auric Barrels – Slavonian Oak i Galleries Gomboc. Događaju su prisustvovali među ostalim i Betty Pavelich – hrvatska veleposlanica u Australiji sa Zoranom Šangutom, konzulom Republike Hrvatske u Zapadnoj Australiji i Ivorom Condićem. Također bili s utu i Alannah MacTiernan MLC – ministrica regionalnog razvoja; poljoprivrede i prehrane; zatim Ljiljanna Ravlich – bivši MLC i ministar obrazovanja u Zapadnoj Australiji, inauguracijski i doživotni član Hrvatske gospodarske komore Zapadne Australije i Eric Ripper – bivši zamjenik premijera i rizničar WA. Također je prisustvovao dr. David Honey MLA Liberalni član za Cottesloe i vođa WA Liberalne stranke i vijećnik lokalne uprave WA – Grad Stirling – Tony Krsticevic.
Imigrantske obitelji došle su u Zapadnu Australiju prije više od 145 godina te su stvorile nevjerojatne vinograde i proizvodile izvrsna vina. Bili smo tako ponosni što su neki od lidera koji su osvojili brončane, srebrne i zlatne medalje na mnogim vinskim ocjenjivanim događajima u Zapadnoj Australiji bili s nama na ovom događaju. Imali smo mnogo tema za razgovor o vinu u Zapadnoj Australiji, Swan Valleyu, diljem Australije iu Hrvatskoj i to među ostalim s – VinArtom, vodećom organizacijom ocjenjivača vina u Zagrebu i Europskoj uniji – koja ocjenjuje preko 120 vina u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu – promičući “vinsku kulturu”.
Sve se je to odvijalo u sklopu obilježavanja 32-ge obljetnice Dana državnosti Republike Hrvatske, kao i 30-te obljetnice priznanja Hrvatske i uspostave diplomatskih odnosa Australije. Također je održana i vinska panel diskusiju s: Antheom Mann iz Mann Vineyards; Graeme Jukich iz Nikola Estatea; i John Kosovich iz Kosovich Wines. Također je bila prezentacija s Ronom Gombocom, iz Galerije Gomboc, našim svjetskim kiparom i Auric Barrels – bačve od slavonskog hrasta s Francikom Jelavić Roberts
Bili su tu također i Dennis Yagmich – doživotni član Hrvatske gospodarske komore Zapadne Australije i voditelj našeg tima za ovaj događaj, sa sjajnim radom Sally Yagmich. Bili su prisutni i voditelji te članovimi Hrvatske zajednice i sportskih organizacija: Laura i Jure Denona – Gwelup Croatia i Hrvatski Dom – Hrvatska kuća, Dean Zlendić – Western Knights Soccer Club, WA Croatian Community Center – Anthony Sumich, Zrinka Vlašić – Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa Zagreb, Anthony Radich i Darlene Gianoli iz Hrvatskog folklornog ansambla Zapadne Australije Lado. Bio je tu i Phil Walleystack iz Zaklade za autohtonu umjetnost i First Australians Cyber Security s kojim smo jako ponosni što surađujemo na mnogim našim prošlim događajima i predstavljamo našu Welcome to Country. Svi su ugošćeni na nevjerojatnom mjestu – Mandoon Estate s izvanrednim kulinarskim iskustvom – ručak za dugim stolom s timom Allana Ercega. Imali smo privilegiju što smo imali izvrsnu zabavu uz Vjerana Duplančića, koji je također izveo našu australsku i hrvatsku himnu.
Glavna događaj bila je dodjela nagrade “Master of Wine” Hrvatske gospodarske komore WA 2022. Johnu Kosovichu iz Kosovich Winesa. Kosovich Wines postoji u zapadnoj Australiji nešto više od 100 godina. Nastupila je Hrvatska folklorna grupa Zagreb iz Pertha i Hrvatski folklorni ansambl Zapadne Australije “Lado” s izvrsnim nastupima. Za prekrasne cvjetne darove i aranžmane Be Botanics – našeg vodećeg pružatelja usluga stilista cvijeća i interijera u zapadnoj Australiji pobrinula se Jasmin Jukic Biagioni. Vezano uz ovaj Hrvatski festival vina biti će organizirana vinska turneju po Hrvatskoj u srpnju 2023. Za više informacija o turneji obratite se našoj komori.
“Bilo je savršeno i izvrsno organizirano”, rekao je Luke Jurčević, predsjednik Hrvatske gospodarske komore Zapadne Australije, koji je ujedno i jedan od tri izabrana člana iz Australije u Savjetu Vlade RH za Hrvate izvan Hrvatske.
The Western Australian Croatian Chamber of Commerce was proud to hold its 2022 Croatian Wine Festival at Mandoon Estate, Western Australia. This event was a celebration of Croatian heritage wine makers within Western Australia with over 40 families contributing to the wine industry.
Showcased with wine tasting and exhibitors as Nikola estate, Kosovich wines, Mann vineyards, Yagmich Estate, Auric Barrels – Slavonian Oak and Gomboc Galleries.
It was an honour to have Her Excellency Betty Pavelich – the Croatian Ambassador to Australia attend with Zoran Sangut the consul of the republic of Croatia in Western Australia and Ivor Condic. Also the Hon Alannah MacTiernan MLC – Minister for Regional Development; Agriculture and Food; Hydrogen Industry and Member for the South West Region. Ljiljanna Ravlich – Past MLC and Minister for Education in Western Australia, inaugural and life member of the Western Australia Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Eric Ripper – Past Deputy Premier and Treasurer of WA. Also attended Dr David Honey MLA The Liberal member for Cottesloe and Leader of the WA Liberal Party and Councillor of WA Local government – City of Stirling – Tony Krsticevic.
Immigrant families came to Western Australia over 145 years ago settling here to create amazing vineyards and to produce amazing wine. We were so proud to have some of the leaders that have won bronze, silver and gold medals across many wine judged events in Western Australia with us at this inaugural event.
We had many topics to discuss about wine in Western Australia, the Swan Valley, across Australia and in Croatia. With VinArt a leading wine judge organisation in Zagreb and the European union – judging over 120 wines within Croatia and overseas – promoting “wine culture”.
All within this year that also marks the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of Croatian Statehood Day, as well as celebrating the 30th anniversary of Australia recognizing Croatia and setting up diplomatic relations.
We had a wine panel discussion with: Anthea Mann from Mann Vineyards;
Graeme Jukich from Nikola Estate; and John Kosovich from Kosovich Wines.
Also presentations with Ron Gomboc, from Gomboc Galleries our world class sculptor and Auric Barrels – Slavonian Oak product barrels with Francika Jelavic Roberts.

All hosted at this amazing venue – Mandoon Estate with an extraordinary culinary experience – long table lunch with Allan Erceg’s team. We were privileged to have outstanding entertainment by Vjeran Duplancic, who also performed our Australian and Croatian national anthems.
The major announcement was the WA Croatian Chamber of Commerce 2022 “Master of Wine” Award to John Kosovich from Kosovich Wines. Kosovich Wines has been in Western Australia for just over 100 years.
Followed by our Folklore groups Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa Zagreb – Perth Western Australia and The Lado Croatian Folkloric Ensemble of Western Australia outstanding performances.
